Culinary Arts - Camp Med-O-Lark - The Arts Camp of New England

CULINARY ARTS

Med-o-lark offers a scrumptious culinary arts program! there are several different culinary classes taught each session by renowned chefs including “healthy cooking”, “brick oven cooking” and a more generally themed culinary class that exposes campers to all sorts of different styles of cooking. all the classes have their own fully equipped, professional-caliber kitchens in which to work–the brick oven class even has a custom made lakeside oven found no where else! the superior facilities and talented instructors allow campers to create all sorts of delights, from salads to sautes to souffles and much beyond. many of the ingredients campers use are locally grown and our chef instructors teach campers how to prepare, cook, and present delicious meals while developing an appreciation for their environmental sustainability. the wonderful smells that emanate throughout camp during culinary arts classes prove that med-o-larkers may well be on their way to publishing cookbooks of their own!
